Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Belmont, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Oversee and coordinate the care of assigned patients, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current MA RN license required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years critical care nursing experience preferred.
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting.
  • Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred.
Work Environment:

The RN works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials. Caring for patients involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements. Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc.

Physical Standards of Job Description:
  • Constantly – 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity.
  • Frequently – 25% to 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity.
  • Occasionally – 5% to 25% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity.
  • Rarely – under 5% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity.
