Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Set Free Alaska. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities and equipment to identify areas that require repair or maintenance.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other building systems.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage supplies and materials needed for cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in maintenance and custodial work.
  • Qualifications: Ability to pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check, qualify for SFA's commercial automobile insurance, and hold a current valid driver's license.
  • Skills: Knowledge of general carpentry and repair, methods of cleaning and preserving floors, walls, and fixtures, occupational hazards and standard safety practices, and common janitorial equipment and power tools.
