We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital's North End Waterfront Health. As a key member of our urgent care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proficient, compassionate nursing care to patients and their loved ones, utilizing scientific principles and the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Director and Patient Care Team to achieve efficient patient outcomes and implement effective care plans.
  • Work with patients to ensure efficient and effective personnel and unit management, and provide education and support to promote healthy behaviors.
  • Responsible for triage and coordination of care for all patients, including those with urgent and emergency needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the program's efficiency and opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
  • Provide and maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families, and articulate the primary nursing role to patients, families, and health team members.
  • Identify, facilitate, and evaluate the outcomes of nursing care for individual patients or groups of patients, and coordinate involvement of patients, families, and health team members in patient care.
  • Document relevant patient information, communicate the plan of care and other pertinent information to/from other health team members, and perform designated tasks to supervise test results and communicate results to patients.
  • Collaborate with other providers and advise nonprofessional nursing personnel in maintaining recognized standards, and participate in daily operational activities vital for safe patient/staff environment.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 3 years experience preferred in ER/community health center urgent care/medical surgical unit as a charge nurse.
  • Experience with pediatric and underserved populations preferred.
  • CPR Certification required.
