About the JobWe are seeking a seasoned Sr. Project Engineer with construction experience to join our team based in Houston, Texas, USA. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for successfully executing the engineering, technical, and construction readiness aspects of projects.
The types of projects executed by Technip Energies include but are not limited to energy transition, petrochemical, hydrogen, carbon capture, and LNG industries. You will report to the Project Engineering Manager on the specific project and have the opportunity to work on larger Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.
As a Sr. Project Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating with discipline engineers and designers for one or more bodies of work, modules, sub-units, areas, or disciplines during the engineering phase of the project.
- Interfacing with the procurement team, construction team, and project controls team.
- Ensuring compliance with HSES and Quality policies, as well as contract-related requirements.
- Providing timely support by the disciplines throughout the procurement, subcontracting, and construction processes.
As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Leading cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Developing and implementing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience as a project engineer or a senior position responsible for the team producing technical deliverables on a project.
- 10+ years of engineering and design experience in petrochemical, refining, or LNG projects to US codes and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 2+ years of field engineering experience at a USA construction site or at a module fabrication facility for petrochemical, refining, or LNG projects.
