Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Delivery Specialist to join our team at Texas Wood Supply. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of our products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and Load Trucks: Assist in the unloading and loading of trucks, checking in merchandise and preparing orders for delivery.
  • Prepare Orders: Process requests and supply orders, pull materials, pack boxes, and place orders in the delivery area.
  • Sort and Place Materials: Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Maintain Inventory: Collect stock location orders, print requests, record amounts of materials or items received or distributed manually, and assist in counting physical inventory.
  • Prepare Material for Distribution: Prepare material for distribution to other entities.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, sweep, dust, and mop, and organize delivery vehicles and work areas for orderliness.
  • Operate Forklift: Operate a forklift for various tasks, including maintenance, and wear proper safety equipment.
  • Refuel Vehicles: Refuel vehicles in accordance with vehicle specifications.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checks.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Follow best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck.
  • Meet Delivery Deadlines: Meet delivery deadlines and obtain client or customer signatures when needed.

  • License or Certification: Valid Driver's License required.
  • Age: Must be 21 years of age.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting: Be able to lift 30-75 pounds.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks.
  • Long Periods of Standing: Stand for long periods of time.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills required.

Compensation: $17 per hour.
