Behavior Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team at PPA Home Support Services Inc.
Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionThe Behavior Intervention Specialist will provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to clients with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage challenging behaviors and remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities:- Treatment Plan Implementation: Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Teaching Life Skills: Use applied behavior analysis techniques to teach social, communication, and life skills to clients.
- Data Collection: Collect and record accurate data on client progress during each session.
- Assessment and Team Meetings: Assist with behavior assessments and participate in team meetings to review treatment plans.
- Client Support: Provide positive reinforcement and maintain a safe, supportive environment for clients.
- Ethical Guidelines: Follow ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the BCBA, clients, and families regarding progress and any concerns.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
- Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- Experience: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage challenging behaviors, and CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Flexibility: Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on client needs.
- Settings: Sessions may take place in clients' homes, schools, or community settings.
