Job Title: Deputy Sheriff

Wilson County, NC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing public safety services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed.
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
  • Testify in court as a witness and provide expert testimony.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • U.S. citizen and 21 years of age.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic Law Enforcement Certification preferred.
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license.
  • Pass background investigation and polygraph test.
