Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Chimes is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges achieve their full potential. We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and provide essential services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop individualized plans.
  • Provide direct and consultative services to clients, including speech and language therapy, to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Participate in state testing practices and maintain compliance with required documentation standards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of assistive technology and audiological services.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in speech pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association or eligibility for such certification.
  • Current license to practice speech pathology in the State of Maryland.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities or children.
