Job Responsibilities

Within the defined scope of practice, the Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for conducting advanced nursing evaluations, clinical assessments, and managing medication prescriptions and follow-up care for patients. This role also includes educating patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and address health promotion and disease prevention needs of the community while delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical staff for consultations and referrals as necessary.
  • Guide nursing and support staff in patient care activities.
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding preventive health and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with established standards.
  • Integrate new knowledge from professional development into clinical practice.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Must meet educational criteria for obtaining ARNP licensure in the relevant state.

Experience and Credentials

  • Required: Nurse Practitioner licensure in the applicable state.
  • Required: DEA registration.
  • Required: Valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
  • Required upon hire: Basic Life Support certification.
  • Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
