Job Responsibilities

Job Summary: As a Residential Support Specialist, you will provide direct services and residential support to consumers in a respectful manner, assisting with daily personal hygiene, physical tasks, and life skills on a full-time basis, ensuring the dignity and privacy of consumers.

  1. Conduct assigned activities with residents (consumers) for educational, social, leisure programs while eliciting their input and feedback.
  2. Assist in promoting healthy daily living, encouraging wellness, and healthy dietary practices.
  3. Assist with meal preparation, serve meals, and provide clean up as needed.
  4. Administer approved medications to consumers as directed and in a timely, accurate manner.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A current PA driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary.
  • Three months of related experience in an IDD residential facility or related environment is preferred.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of all consumer records and information.
