Job Summary
Medline Industries - Transportation & Operations is seeking a skilled Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our MedTrans fleet, you will play a critical role in delivering lifesaving medical products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Delivery: Safely load and secure medical products from our facility into a parcel van or straight truck, and deliver them to our customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Route Management: Operate a parcel van or straight truck between our facility and multiple customer destinations, adhering to our safety regulations and guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing their questions and needs, and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with our dispatching team to adjust delivery routes or schedules as needed to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Logistics and Maintenance: Maintain accurate travel and cargo logs, and perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid US driver's license and a valid Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) for Class B License if required by state.
- Commercial Motor Vehicle Experience: Meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles.
- Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record with no serious violations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant work experience in a transportation or logistics role.
