Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize spare parts inventory using CMMS/SAP systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Conduct minor welding and fabrication tasks for equipment upkeep.
  • Perform general facility maintenance and routine preventive care on equipment such as blowers, airlocks, valves, sifters, and dust collectors.
  • Packaging machines, code printers, and case packers.
  • Air compressors, pneumatic systems, and other essential support equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, maintain hazard-free work areas, and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a self-directed and efficient work environment.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to support production goals.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and be able to understand and interpret equipment training manuals and drawings.
  • Demonstrate good math skills.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency.
  • Possess a solid mechanical aptitude combined with technical training and/or the equivalent in manufacturing experience (preferably in food manufacturing).
  • Demonstrate creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of electrical distribution and control circuits.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of PLC theory and programming.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the following support equipment: Air compressors and pneumatic systems, Pneumatic conveying theory and related systems, Pasta drying instrumentation.
  • Understand proficiently in the operation of the following shop equipment: Drill press, Hydraulic press, Milling machine, Lathe, Grinders, band saws and other related hand tools.
  • Advanced maintenance welding including: AC/DC stick, Tig, Mig, Gas Acetylene.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted; periodically lift up to 100 lbs.
