Opticianry Instructor

Join Durham Technical Community College as an Instructor of Opticianry and contribute to the education and development of the next generation of opticians.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to teach courses in opticianry, including contact lens and eyewear fitting, optics, and vision care. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the Opticianry Program.

• Teach courses in opticianry, including contact lens and eyewear fitting, optics, and vision care
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Contribute to the development of the Opticianry Program, including curriculum design and revision
• Participate in departmental and institutional meetings and activities
• Maintain accurate records and reports

• Master's degree in Opticianry or a related field
• Two years of experience in opticianry or a related field
• Current state license from the North Carolina Board of Examiners in Opticianry
• Advanced certification by the American Board of Opticianry
