President/CEO - Chamber of Commerce

Job Summary

The Carson Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly experienced and motivated President/CEO to lead our organization to the next level of growth and success. As the chief executive officer, you will be responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the chamber, as well as the day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the chamber's mission and goals

• Foster strong relationships with city, county, state, and federal government officials and agencies

• Represent the chamber at events and meetings with government officials and other stakeholders

• Recruit and retain members, and develop and implement membership retention strategies

• Oversee the chamber's budget and financial operations, and ensure the organization's financial stability

• Supervise and manage staff, and provide guidance and support to volunteers

• Develop and implement programs and services to support the chamber's mission and goals

• Collaborate with the board of directors to set the chamber's strategic direction and make key decisions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a chamber of commerce or similar organization

• Proven track record of success in leading organizations and teams to achieve strategic goals

• Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility

• Proficient in computer software and social media platforms, with a strong understanding of web authoring and design
