JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of software solutions that enhance the operations of Costco's logistics and customer service sectors. Your role will involve assessing and resolving technical issues reported by users, colleagues, and vendors. You will create comprehensive specifications that align with both functional and technical requirements. Collaboration with fellow developers, operational teams, Product Owners, and Business Solutions Analysts will be essential to ensure that the technical implementations meet the organization's business objectives. You will also be tasked with establishing and upholding documentation standards. Participation in requirements gathering sessions will be crucial to support operational and reporting needs within Costco's logistics framework. Utilizing your educational background and professional experience, you will contribute to software features under guided supervision. You will assess and recommend permanent software modifications to address identified challenges. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with the Service Desk will be key to ensuring high-quality service and support.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience:
At least six months of experience in software development involving:
o JavaScript ES6;
o HTML;
o CSS;
o React and Redux;
o Jest and Jenkins;
o Microservices architecture;
o MySQL database management; and
o Cloud technologies and services such as AWS and/or Azure.
