We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at General Physician, P.C. in Buffalo, NY. About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to assist providers with the proper administration of patient care. You will serve as a liaison between providers and patients, assessing patient needs and communicating health information. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Telephone triage of patients by accurately assessing symptoms based on subjective and objective findings.
  • Following service line initiatives to avoid unnecessary hospital re-admissions by communicating with appropriate parties to ensure proper follow-up within specified time frames.
  • Assisting with medication management by performing medication reconciliation and queueing necessary refills to providers for processing.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, in accordance with internal and legal requirements.
  • Monitoring incoming documents and assisting with the completion of necessary forms.
  • Assisting with examination and in-office treatment by handing providers instruments and orders into the EMR system following the organization's standing order policy and/or per providers' written direction.
  • Delivering exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience across all interactions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An applicable NY State license.
  • A two-year degree preferred.
  • Proven work experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes, CPR Certification, and strong clinical skills preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize computer programs.
