About the Role

Aleron is seeking a highly skilled Assembler to join our team in a fast-paced environment. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify correct part placement and orientation using a microscope
  • Manually align parts before soldering and perform post-re-flow inspection and touch-up
  • Identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids/insufficient solder, solder shorts/bridges, misaligned parts/leads, tombstoned and billboarded components, and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 years experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM)
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in IPC-610, IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD, IPC J-STD-001
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand what are false calls vs. real calls or issues
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Soldering
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with surface mount components
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience running, soldering, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards
  • IPC-610 Certification
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification
  • Ability to read instructions and identify standard SMT components
