Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Otter Learning. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational curriculum for children aged 0-5 years
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high-quality teaching practices and supporting the growth of colleagues
  • Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and progress reports
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and center policies
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and safety standards
Requirements:
  • 45 hours of DCF training, including School Readiness, Sleep Safe, and VPK courses
  • Minimum 1 year of professional child care experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and high energy
  • A strong understanding of child development and certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid
  • CDA or higher in early childhood education or related field
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, or crawl as needed
