Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities Will Include: Duties encompass but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans, participating in meetings, and engaging in family discussions
- Executing discharge assessments, providing appropriate advice for home and community safety, and offering referrals and educational resources
- Communicating the needs and progress of patients to the treatment team, physicians, clients, and their families
- Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure cohesive care and optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
What We Expect:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the practicing state
- Valid CPR Certification
- At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Proficiency in rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions preferred
- Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Physically capable of moving, lifting, or transferring patients, which may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety protocols
- Proficient in fine motor skills, good eyesight, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Additional physical abilities needed include pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and frequent changes in position
- May require a health screening or assessment to confirm physical fitness for assigned duties with or without accommodations
