ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Lab Scientist to join our dedicated team.
Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will work in our General Laboratory, contributing to high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct all testing procedures as outlined in the procedural documentation.
- Perform and document scheduled maintenance on laboratory instruments.
- Adhere to established quality control protocols, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with turnaround times, verifying critical values and specimen identification.
- Complete all stat and routine results promptly.
- Log workload and relevant statistics into the laboratory information system.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science, or an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- ASCP Certification is preferred.
- Proficient in clinical laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with infection control methods.
- Ability to manage multiple tests and procedures accurately.
- Experience with automated laboratory equipment.
