About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Google Cloud Business Platforms team. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code for our cloud-based products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Triage and debug issues, analyzing the root cause and implementing solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and educational content to support our customers and engineers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 2+ years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with performance, large-scale systems, data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
