We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Latin Educator to join our team at the Diocese of St. Augustine. As a key member of our academic community, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Latin and Classical Studies to students, while also contributing to the development of our curriculum and programs.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Latin and Classical Studies, aligned with the Diocese of St. Augustine's academic standards and goals.
- Classroom Management: Establish a positive and productive learning environment, promoting student engagement, motivation, and academic success.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning, and to enhance their own knowledge and skills.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, and to support student learning and achievement.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement effective assessment and evaluation strategies to measure student learning and progress.
- Education: Master's degree in Latin, Classical Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Prior experience teaching Latin and Classical Studies at the secondary or post-secondary level.
- Certification: Valid Professional Educator certification in the State of Florida.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of Latin and Classical Studies, excellent teaching and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic academic environment, with a focus on student learning and achievement. The position may require occasional evening and weekend hours to support school events and activities.
