We are seeking a distinguished Family Medicine Physician to deliver comprehensive healthcare for senior patients in our innovative outpatient practice. This role is designed to ensure that patients receive exceptional care with access to additional resources and services within the clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and oversee direct patient care, including thorough physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients aged 55 and older.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans tailored to the assessed medical conditions of patients.
- Facilitate referrals to specialists and coordinate relevant patient care services as necessary.
- Lead and manage the patient care activities of nursing and support personnel as required.
- Engage in health promotion and educational initiatives as appropriate for the role.
- Demonstrate the ability to observe, assess, and document patient symptoms, reactions, and progress effectively.
- Possess knowledge of legal and ethical standards governing medical care delivery.
- Understand relevant medications and non-pharmaceutical aids, including the ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients on proper usage.
- Be familiar with accreditation and certification requirements pertinent to the medical field.
- Stay informed about current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise.
- Exhibit the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Medical License in Illinois.
- Board certification or eligibility in the relevant medical specialty.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with senior patient populations is preferred.
- Completion of a U.S. Residency Program.
