ASPIRA Seminar Faculty Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified instructor to teach our ASPIRA seminar course, a 1-credit first year seminar designed specifically for Hispanic or Latino/a/e/x students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach the ASPIRA seminar course, engaging students in learning how to navigate college, succeed in academics, and identify personal and career goals.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that addresses the unique needs and experiences of Hispanic/Latinx students.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their transition from high school to college.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Master's degree or 18 graduate credits in an appropriate discipline, or a combination of relevant degree and experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the community college level preferred.
  • Knowledge of issues, barriers, and equity-minded strategies pertaining to Hispanic/Latinx student college success.
