Licensed Practical Nurse

Next Move Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our multidisciplinary care team in South Dakota.
Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and skilled LPN to provide general nursing care to residents, ensuring their well-being and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing and nursing assistants to coordinate care and maintain a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the Nursing Assistants duties to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing/Charge Nurse to ensure the best care for residents, adhering to facility policies and professional standards.
- Assist in interpreting and implementing facility policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and quality care.
- Provide care in accordance with physician orders, LPN scope of practice, and departmental policies, prioritizing resident safety and well-being.
- Participate in nursing assessments, care planning, and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure effective care delivery.
- Facilitate outside physician visits to meet residents' medical needs, ensuring timely and quality care.
- Administer and document medications and treatments, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
- Serve as the primary contact on assigned shifts, supervising resident assistants and ensuring a smooth care delivery process.
- Engage in the Quality Management program to maintain high standards of care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Education commensurate with licensure requirements, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Active, unencumbered LPN license in South Dakota, or temporary permit to practice in the state, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to apply for South Dakota LPN licensure by endorsement, demonstrating a willingness to adapt and grow.
- Knowledge of medications, side effects, and infection control practices, with a focus on resident safety and well-being.
- Strong communication and supervisory skills, with a focus on resident care and safety, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
