**Job Overview**
The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved seeks a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in Maryland.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide medical assessments and evaluations, treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, supervise medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participate in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting.
**Responsibilities**- Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring efficient and clinically appropriate medical services
- Work under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director to ensure seamless operations
- Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to develop and implement effective healthcare strategies
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Leadership experience preferred
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check
