Job Summary

Hamilton-Ryker is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler - Inventory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Perform regular counts to identify possible discrepancies in inventory quantities and reconcile discovered variances according to approved policies and procedures.
  • Cycle Counting: Coordinate, monitor, and perform cycle count programs and physical inventories to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Inventory Adjustments: Perform adjustments of inventory after thorough research and documentation.
  • Inventory Reporting: Generate cycle count reports and document and report cycle count accuracy.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitor all store transfers and other transactions for accuracy and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Inventory Data Management: Maintain and reconcile all data and parameters in QAD.
  • Collaboration: Support the Finance department with all inventory-related issues and contribute to the accomplishment of key performance indicators and reduction of negative inventories.
  • Qualifications: Knowledge of key warehouse functions, experience loading trucks, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and intermediate-level skills in Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Natural curiosity, ability to recognize missing elements, effective interpersonal and communication skills, self-starter, creative thinker, results-oriented individual, ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment, and ability to multitask and be detail-oriented.
