Your Responsibilities:

At Optiver, we seek well-rounded individuals and develop them into exceptional market operations analysts. No prior experience in trading or finance is required. You will commence your career with thorough training on trading fundamentals: theory, markets, strategies, and state-of-the-art technology.

Upon joining your team on the trading floor, you will handle substantial data volumes, requiring precision and timeliness while collaborating with stakeholders across the trading spectrum. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Enhancing and optimizing our advanced automated trading systems.
  • Utilizing your technical expertise to automate manual tasks and scale our operations.
  • Developing automated data visualizations and reports to generate critical insights.
  • Engaging in projects aimed at boosting trading profitability and managing risk.
  • Monitoring and analyzing trading activities from our automated market-making operations.
  • Assessing and automating corporate events and their effects on the portfolio.
  • Overseeing and optimizing financing, capital, and electronic trading costs and rebates.
  • Managing stock lending, short-sale expenses, and settlement/buy-in risks.
  • Administering Optiver's registered market-making and Lead Market Making obligations.
Your Profile:
  • 3-7 years of experience in financial markets with a keen interest in options trading.
  • Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and systematically.
  • Motivation to continuously improve and optimize processes.
  • Aptitude for working under pressure and managing multiple tasks.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.
