Job Overview

Shriners Children's is a leading pediatric medical center offering specialized care in burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties. We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training services in sports health and medicine clinics, including orthopedic evaluation, therapeutic exercise teaching, and coordination of care.
  • Work under the supervision of a physician to aid in quality orthopedic care and treatment of patients.
  • Perform clinical practice responsibilities, including evaluation and treatment of athletes according to standardized techniques and departmental standards.
  • Provide patient and family education, maintain patient confidentiality, and demonstrate appropriate clinical decision making.
  • Consult with rehabilitation staff for return to sport recommendations and complete clinical and medical documentation of all care provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitative related field and Athletic Training Degree with NATA Certification.
  • 3 years of athletic training experience, with 1 year of pediatric experience preferred.
