**About the Role:**

We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our team as part-time Gymnastics / American Ninja Warrior / Parkour Instructors at Greater Somerset County YMCA.

About the Job:

As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower youth participants through engaging and dynamic classes that promote physical fitness, skill development, and fun.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute high-quality gymnastics, American Ninja Warrior, and parkour style classes for youth participants of various ages and skill levels.
  • Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and feedback to help participants improve their technique and achieve their goals.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper spotting techniques, equipment usage, and facility rules.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where participants feel supported, motivated, and encouraged to challenge themselves.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues to provide updates, feedback, and support as needed.
  • Assist with program promotion, recruitment, and retention efforts to drive participation and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience coaching or teaching gymnastics, American Ninja Warrior, parkour, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of gymnastics, American Ninja Warrior, or parkour techniques, terminology, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with participants of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and relevant coaching certifications (preferred but not required - we will provide).
  • Passion for health, wellness, and community engagement, with a commitment to the YMCA's mission and values.
