Texas Health Denton is a 255-bed, full-service hospital serving our community since 1987. We offer a wide range of services, including heart and vascular care, women's services, orthopedics, and sports medicine. Our Level III neonatal intensive care unit provides critical care for newborns, and we also offer pain management, emergency medicine, and bariatric surgery.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients' communication and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Performing age-appropriate patient assessments and establishing plans of care
  • Obtaining physician orders and validating appropriateness
  • Reviewing medical records and obtaining pertinent medical history from patients or families

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Certification in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) or equivalent
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas
  • Experience working with patients with communication and swallowing disorders
