Regional Float Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:The Regional Float Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform personal care activities, including bathing, mouth care, skin care, hair care, nail care, and bed-making.
- Use appropriate body mechanics to assist patients with turning and positioning, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
- Assist with patient's nutritional needs, including preparing patients for meal time and assisting with feeding.
- Assist with patient's elimination needs, including bedpan/urinal, bowel/bladder retraining, and collecting/test specimens.
- Adhere to safety measures, including side rails, call bells, mitts, and restraints, and utilize safety devices and good body mechanics to avoid injury to patient or self.
- Perform special procedures, including obtaining and recording vital signs, applying heat/cold therapy, and providing post-mortem care.
- Assist in admission, discharge, and transfer process, including gathering and labeling patient belongings and orienting patients/families to hospital policies.
- Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
