Overview

CHI Health Immanuel Acute Care offers a unique opportunity to work in various settings, including PCU, ICU, Ortho/Med Surg, Spine Center, or Float. This part-time position requires 20 hours of work per week with flexible scheduling options.

$3,750 Sign-On Bonus

As a Physical Therapist at CHI Health Immanuel Hospital, you will contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of patients' physical well-being following illnesses, injuries, or aging issues. By employing diverse treatments, you will assist patients in reducing pain, enhancing strength and endurance, increasing range of motion, or improving balance to achieve optimal functionality.

You are a dedicated professional always ready for the next challenge. Our physical therapists interact with patients daily for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, or treatments. You will work closely with a variety of patient backgrounds, including orthopedic injury or surgery recovery, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or conditions affecting balance. This fast-paced environment is collaborative and supportive, with team members eager to offer guidance, advice, or mentoring when needed.

To succeed as a physical therapist, you must be a team player who constantly collaborates with other therapists, patients, and their families to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes. You should possess strong communication skills, be personable, positive, and motivated to provide high-quality care to a diverse range of patients every day.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Perform thorough initial patient evaluations and regular re-evaluations to assess progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all treatments and status updates
  • Tailor treatments to individual patients' requirements, embracing creativity and going above expectations when necessary
  • Pursue ongoing learning opportunities and serve as a resource for colleagues seeking knowledge and expertise
  • Deliver exceptional care to every patient consistently
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a degree in Physical Therapy (BS, MS, MPT, DPT) and possess an active physical therapy license in the state of Nebraska or participate in the physical therapy licensure compact. Additionally, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
