About the Role

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Staff to join our team. As an Audit Staff, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a wide variety of audit engagements under the supervision of experienced accounting professionals.
  • Engage and serve clients from various industries, developing strong relationships and providing exceptional service.
  • Communicate effectively with project in-charges and clients, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery.
  • Develop technical accounting skills, preparing audit checklists, adjusting journal entries, and performing other essential duties as needed.
  • Gain business writing experience, preparing financial statements and workpapers for client files.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Masters preferred, but not required.
  • CPA certified or eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
  • Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles.
