We're seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Fitness Coach to join our team at Mercy. As a Fitness Coach, you will play a vital role in helping our members achieve their physical capacity goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist members and guests in meeting their physical capacity goals through effective communication and personalized coaching.
- Maintain and clean equipment in the facility to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Participate in hospital and community health fairs, walks, and other projects to promote healthy lifestyles.
- Work a flexible schedule based on facility usage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification.
- At least 6 months of experience in a customer service industry.
- CPR-AED Adult Child or above certification.
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals or groups.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- General knowledge of anatomy and physiology regarding exercise.
- Understanding and practice of the institutional Core Values of Dignity, Justice, Stewardship, Compassionate Service, and Excellence.
- Associate of Arts or Science degree in a health-related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in group exercise or personal training.
- Nationally accredited certification (e.g., ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, AFAA, Cooper Clinic, etc.).
- CPR certification.
- Ability to lead group classes.
- Ability to write and demonstrate effective weight loss and weight management programs to a wide demographic.
