Chubb, a leading global insurance company, is seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Claims Examiner to join its team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for re-inspecting open and closed claims involving contractors from Chubb's network and other vendors to validate the loss inspection, nature of the loss, coverage provided, scope of damage, and construction estimate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Re-inspect open and closed claims to validate loss inspection, nature of the loss, coverage provided, scope of damage, and construction estimate.
  • Assist the Property Field Staff in validating the reconstruction process and provide quality and customer service feedback to improve the overall quality of Chubb's network.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with preferred vendors to provide quality and customer service feedback.
  • Act as the primary resource for complaint resolution involving network vendors.
  • Work with the First Party Audit Team and core leadership team to identify training opportunities and maintain an active diary of re-inspections and training opportunities.
  • Adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices acts, as well as Chubb's Code of Conduct standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, with industry credentials such as AIC, SCLA or CPCU being a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of Outside property claims or re-inspecting experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance contracts, investigative techniques, legal requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with experience in training others on claim handling practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
