Position Overview

Tang & Company, a leader in providing occupational health services across the nation, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) who possesses exceptional clinical, technological, and multitasking abilities.

Temporary Role

Compensation: $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive physical assessments, including vision and hearing tests, vital signs monitoring, respiratory fit evaluations, and substance testing as required.
  • Executes basic laboratory procedures, prepares samples, administers medications and injections, performs blood draws, and applies dressings and splints.
  • Oversees daily inspection of examination rooms and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient care.
  • Supports the attending medical professional during patient evaluations and medical procedures.
  • Handles administrative tasks such as patient scheduling, telephone inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations regarding professional certification, patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, and safety protocols.
  • Conducts COVID-related responsibilities, including temperature checks, health questionnaires, and vital signs assessments.
  • Completes additional front and back-office tasks as directed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) training program.
  • Possession of a Medical Assistant (MA) certification in line with state medical board requirements.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification with AED training.
  • Prior clinical experience is advantageous.
