Responsabilidades Generales:
Realizar inspecciones diarias de proyectos de construcción, monitoreando la calidad y el cumplimiento de los requisitos del código de construcción, los planos de construcción y las especificaciones del proyecto.

Las inspecciones pueden abarcar múltiples disciplinas de inspección o dentro de un área de especialización específica, incluyendo acero estructural, concreto, mampostería, protección contra incendios, etc.

Las inspecciones pueden incluir inspección visual/física y pruebas de campo para verificar la conformidad con los planes y especificaciones. Preparar informes de inspección y proporcionar documentación escrita de observaciones y pruebas de materiales.

Comunicar hallazgos al ingeniero o gerente de proyecto y, cuando se solicite, colaborar con el equipo del proyecto en soluciones a problemas potenciales.

Cumplir con estrictos estándares de seguridad.

Funciones y Responsabilidades Esenciales:

  • Realiza pruebas, observaciones e inspecciones según lo indicado, de acuerdo con la capacitación y los procedimientos especificados.
  • Leer e interpretar planos de construcción y especificaciones.
  • Proporcionar documentación clara de hallazgos y resultados.
  • Realizar análisis básicos de datos para verificar la precisión antes de la comunicación y presentación al Gerente de Proyecto.
  • Comunicar información al Gerente de Proyecto y a otros miembros del personal según lo indicado por el Gerente de Proyecto.
  • Redactar informes de inspección para revisión por parte de inspectores senior y/o Gerentes de Proyecto.
  • Puede asistir a inspectores más experimentados en proyectos.
  • Mantener el equipo y su calibración.
  • Seguir las reglas y prácticas de seguridad y otros requisitos de seguridad para todos los proyectos. Realizar planificación previa a la tarea antes de ejecutar el trabajo. Informar cualquier problema o preocupación de seguridad a la gerencia.
  • Ser responsable de mantener los estándares de calidad en todos los proyectos.

Requisitos:

  • Diploma de secundaria o equivalente.
  • Se prefiere un título asociado en Tecnología de Ingeniería Civil o Tecnología de Ingeniería de Construcción.
  • Mínimo de 2-4 años de experiencia como Técnico de Ingeniería u otra experiencia aplicable.
  • Se prefiere 1 año de experiencia en inspección de construcción.
  • Licencia de conducir válida con historial de violaciones aceptable.

Certificación Requerida:

  • Finalización exitosa de certificaciones internas de seguridad relacionadas.
Al menos una o más certificaciones en las siguientes áreas:

  • Inspector Certificado de Soldadura (CWI) de la Sociedad Americana de Soldadura (AWS)
  • Certificación ICC (Concreto Reforzado, Protección contra Incendios Aplicada por Spray, Mampostería Estructural, Concreto Pretensado/Postensado, Acero Estructural - Atornillado, Acero Estructural - Soldadura).
  • Certificación de Nivel II de la Sociedad Americana de Pruebas No Destructivas (ASNT) (Pruebas Visuales (VT), Pruebas de Partículas Magnéticas (MT), Pruebas de Tinción (PT), Pruebas Radiográficas (RT), Pruebas Ultrasónicas (UT)).
