Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Civil Engineer to join our team in Chico, CA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing responsible engineering work, including project management, client communication, and quality control.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and perform responsible engineering work, including project management and client communication.
  • Prepare project scopes and estimates, and communicate with clients and design teams.
  • Work with professional staff and project teams to assess and meet engineering needs, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Responsible charge of work performed, including stamp and sign prepared plans and documents with QA/QC of a Senior Engineer or above.
  • Act in the absence of a Senior Engineer, and perform internal QA/QC on other engineer's work products.
  • Determine project invoicing, control budget, and meet client satisfaction goals.
  • Develop estimates, scope of work, and contract documents with guidance from Senior Engineer or above.
  • Prepare calculations, plans, details, and specifications.
  • Initiate applications and documents with general guidance from Senior Engineer or above.
  • Perform job site visits and inspections, meet with clients, contractors, agencies, etc.
Requirements
  • Current California Professional Civil Engineering license.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited school.
  • Three (3) or more years of full-time experience as an Assistant Engineer II, or
  • Four (4) years of full-time experience as a combination of Junior Engineer and Assistant Engineer I, and one (1) year full-time experience as an Assistant Engineer II, or
  • Five (5) years full-time post-graduate experience at an engineering firm performing engineering-related assignments such as drafting, plan preparation, calculations, estimates, specifications, and/or field inspections, with one (1) of those years having exposure to project management including client communication, assisting in the preparation of proposals, estimates, and contracts, and monitoring/controlling the project budget, scope, communication, QA/QC, milestones, timelines, billing, and allocation of resources.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Rate - $86,207 to $110,080 based on relevant experience.
