Worship Ministry Leader

The Anglican Church in North America is seeking a skilled Worship Leader to join our team at the Church of the Cross in Bluffton, South Carolina. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and growing the contemporary music at our CrossPoint service.

• Lead congregational worship and maintain a high level of musical excellence.
• Recruit, train, and develop the CrossPoint worship team, including scheduling rehearsals and maintaining music files.
• Collaborate with the Worship Director and clergy to plan services, including song selection and coordination of seasonal services.
• Lead worship at occasional events and seek opportunities for growth and development in worship leadership.
• Communicate effectively with volunteers and the worship team, using Planning Center Online to build schedules and share music.
• Ensure that music and liturgy are properly input into Planning Center Online and ProPresenter for weekly service slides.
• Model worship in a way that encourages participation and openness to the Holy Spirit.

• Love of the Lord and a caring heart for Christ's Church.
• Agreement with and support for the Parish's Statement of Faith.
• Vocal skills and proficiency in acoustic guitar and/or keyboard.
• Desire to recruit, lead, and love musicians/singers.
• Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and systems.
• Leadership skills, spiritual centeredness, and commitment to the mission, vision, and strategy of the Church.
• Strong administrative abilities, excellent communication skills, and a team player attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and self-directed work style.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in ProPresenter and Planning Center.
