Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Spectrum Health, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care. Your expertise will be essential in operating imaging equipment, utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and applying principles of radiation safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of general diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including the imaging department, surgery, and the Emergency Department.
  • Proficiently operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to manage and retrieve images.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety and practices ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Perform EHR clerical functions related to patient chart documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience and completion of the first year of an accredited imaging program required.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC certification required upon hire.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position with variable shifts and hours. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules.
