Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine specific needs of individual on-premise accounts by analyzing account data and surveying for opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers, balancing company priorities and customer needs.
  • Obtain distribution of supplier brands throughout the targeted account base by presenting and selling based on brand features and benefits.
  • Maintain key accounts by effectively communicating marketing plans, maintaining relationships with influencers, and conducting business reviews.
  • Understand company pricing and product programming information by reviewing and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account standards and using effective point-of-sale materials.
  • Educate account staff on priority brands by administering instructional staff training seminars.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers by participating in supplier work-with sales calls.
  • Support sales representatives as a training and information resource by presenting and sharing account trends and brand knowledge.
  • Produce wine and cocktail lists by working with BrandMuscle.
  • Facilitate accounts visits, dinners, and supplier meetings by scheduling and preparing accounts to meet supplier expectations.
  • Complete necessary training programs by attending, participating, and passing required tests.
  • Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience required.
  • Ability to hold a NYS Solicitor's Permit required.
  • Must have a valid NYS driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • A minimum of two years in sales or industry-related experience required.
  • A sound understanding of wine and spirits required.
  • Strong computer, customer service, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Results-oriented professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs, including presentation software.
  • Familiarity with assigned territory a plus.
