As a Team Leader/Trainer, you will be responsible for training new SMC Operator associates on the essential functions of the role, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train new SMC Operator associates on all essential functions of the SMC Operator role
  • Coach and mentor less tenured SMC Operators to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Conduct daily placement and direction of associates in the work area to optimize productivity
  • Ensure the SMC line is running with the correct formula and the startup sheet is fulfilled before the shift starts
  • Monitor the SMC line for issues that may occur during the run and support associates to overcome potential issues related to quality
  • Complete required records and reports, including production records and quality reports
  • Assist in ordering direct material supplies from the warehouse
  • Strive to attain and maintain established standards of productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping in your assigned area on every shift
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Trainer, or Supervisor with a strong work ethic and overall positive demeanor
  • Ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting
  • Flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability
  • A positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindset
