Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Veracity. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess medication orders to identify potential and actual drug-related problems
  • Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate
  • Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients
  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
  • Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care
  • Accurately enter and verify medication orders and perform final checks prior to dispensing
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel to provide timely and comprehensive pharmaceutical services
  • Participate in hospital safety and quality programs and assist in training new staff and students
Requirements
  • Valid current Arizona Registered Pharmacist License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification upon employment and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited School or College of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD degree
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Residency experience
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • IT Pharmacist with Cerner Millennium experience
