Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of health insurance payers concerning medical billing and reimbursement processes.
- Investigate and keep abreast of significant trends in the healthcare payer landscape across various sectors.
- Establish guidelines, coverage parameters, and payment rates for medical services.
- Promptly communicate any changes in policies to all relevant stakeholders.
- Review and revise insurance payment rates annually in accordance with CPT/HCPCS coding.
- Manage assigned projects and troubleshoot operational challenges effectively.
- Meet deadlines in a dynamic and resource-constrained project setting.
- Develop a comprehensive dashboard detailing payer coverage information, including benefits and pricing structures.
- Strengthen relationships with payers by remaining updated on policy modifications.
- Ensure adherence to regulations set forth by healthcare authorities, including Medicare and state programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, healthcare administration, finance, business, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an office or healthcare environment.
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding and electronic health record systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and various insurance plans.
- Experience in process enhancement, quality assurance, data analysis, and reporting.
- Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in managing diverse databases.
- Leadership capabilities, with the ability to effectively represent Payer Knowledge both internally and externally.
- Strong organizational, time management, and customer service abilities.
- Proficient problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Competence in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Microsoft Office Suite.
