Our 50-bed medical-surgical unit, 4 West, is a fast-paced environment that provides high-quality care to patients with a range of medical and surgical conditions, including colorectal, bariatric, otolaryngology, urology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, trauma, and general surgical patients.

Scope of Work
The Registered Nurse (RN) on our team utilizes the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. Our RNs work under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognize the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required within 5 years.
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
- American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
