  • Interpret and apply construction plans, standards, and specifications.
  • Coordinate efforts among agencies, contractors, and city departments.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to fully understand project scope and client expectations.
  • Identify construction methodologies and potential risks to enhance efficiency.
  • Gather data, devise solutions, and adapt to changes in work processes.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial metrics for all construction services.
  • Assess contractor and supplier invoices against actual performance.
  • Evaluate contractor change requests for compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to financial and operational requirements.
  • Review quotes, material requests, and deliveries to ensure quality control.
  • Maintain accurate estimates of project completion timelines and costs.
  • Prepare regular reports and documentation for project tracking.
  • Collaborate with GIS teams to ensure accurate field data collection.
  • Conduct regular meetings with field staff to stay updated on project progress and resolve issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, ESRI/Arc GIS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in various environments.
  • Ability to work independently on both private and public sector projects.
  • Valid driver's license required for travel to project sites.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in diverse teams.
  • Resourceful and analytical mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Experience leading small project teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Open to innovative ideas and change.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with NASSCO Standards and community construction standards.
  • Availability to respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of web-based GIS applications is a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of relevant codes and standards.
