Overview:

The Diagnostic Imaging Service is seeking a qualified Advanced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specializing in Ultrasound. This role involves utilizing advanced imaging techniques to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States.
  2. Certification: Candidates must hold certification in general radiologic technology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R). Advanced ARRT certification is necessary for roles involving computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or Mammography (M) performed independently, as applicable.
  3. Education: Completion of a comprehensive training program in diagnostic radiologic technology lasting at least 24 months, evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  4. Language Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct ultrasound examinations utilizing non-ionizing, high-frequency sound waves for the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
  2. Perform specialized assessments of major and minor organ systems, as well as vascular systems.
  3. Execute quality assurance testing on ultrasound equipment using established protocols.
  4. Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance evaluations.
  5. Identify diagnostic scans and collaborate with the Staff Radiologist to ensure accurate diagnoses.
