Role Summary:

The RN Circulator is responsible for providing circulating nurse services in the operating room during surgical and pain management procedures. This position involves assisting the surgical team in various capacities as per established protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and guide patient care within the operating rooms, maintaining continuous communication with the surgical and anesthesiology teams regarding patient status.
  • Execute all circulating duties with proficiency and promptness.
  • Address the emotional, physical, and psychological needs of patients.
  • Ensure adherence to accepted standards of practice through proper techniques and methodologies.
  • Supervise and support scrub technicians as needed, and perform scrub duties when required.
  • Maintain patient safety through accurate identification, chart verification, and monitoring of any changes in condition.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum of one year of operating room experience; current BLS certification; ACLS certification required within one year of employment.
