Position Overview The Overhead Crane Operator plays a crucial role, tasked with the operation of an overhead crane to lift, transport, position, and reposition loads while maneuvering the crane using hand controls.

The Operator is expected to maintain a standing and walking position for up to 12 hours daily and occasionally lift loads weighing up to 25 pounds within the facility.

Key Responsibilities - Operate various overhead cranes to transport products such as coils.
- Conduct inspections of cranes to ensure safety and optimal functionality along with routine maintenance.
- Prioritize and organize production line needs.
- Utilize all below-the-hook lifting devices to aid in lifting and transporting products.
- Operate non-assigned cranes as needed to cover gaps in operations.
- Maintain familiarity with Work Instructions and Job Safety Analyses provided to the Operator.
- Proficiently use a computer for training, record-keeping, and incident reporting.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills/Qualifications - Proficient in reading and speaking the English language.
- Ability to pass a drug screening, physical assessment, and background verification.
- Capability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day.
- Ability to lift weights up to 25 pounds.
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED required.
